Way back in 2003, after being on the receiving end of a poor estate agency service themselves, Michael and Alison Brain launched Hannells from a small village office.

Since then, Hannells has grown to become Derby’s most exciting and top selling estate agent, winning many accolades and awards along the way for customer service, sales and marketing.

To this day, Michael and Alison are still very active within the business and have worked hard to maintain the values that accelerated them to the cream of the derby estate agency crop all those years ago – and that is by having an intense focus on “people”, be it the hard working people in the business, or each of our valued customers.

Now with six sales branches strategically placed across the Derby suburbs and a Lettings head office on Pride Park, we’re ready to take the business to the next level and we’re looking for ambitious and hard working  people who can help us to achieve our goals.

We’re looking for a full time sales negotiator who has no problem getting stuck right in and making a big contribution to their branch.

It’s an incredibly varied, office based role where no two days are ever the same and just some of the tasks you’ll be responsible for are:

–  Arranging viewings for buyers
– Obtaining and delivering viewing feedback
– Negotiating offers on properties
– Booking valuations
– Promoting the various other services we provide
– Liaising regularly with sellers to give them updates
– And much more…!

Morning meetings start at 8.45am sharp to get set up for the day and the doors close at 5.30pm weekdays and 4pm on a Saturday.

You may be required to work alternative Saturdays, but you’ll be given a day off in the week in return.

On target earnings will mean you should earn between £18,000 – £25,000 but there are plenty of opportunities to top this up with individual commissions being rewarded for additional cross sells.

Are we looking for experience? – Not necessarily because we can teach you everything you need to know.

What’s more important is having the right attitude and a commitment towards becoming the best at what you do.


Our current office locations are Pride Park, Allestree, Alvaston, Chaddesden, Chellaston, Littleover and Mickleover.

Currently, the right candidate could be placed within any of these branches.

If for any reason there is a branch listed that you wouldn’t be able to get to please mention this in your cover letter!

We’re slap bang in the suburbs so there’s no need to pay for parking and there’s always a variety of amenities nearby for lunch etc.
