Our story started way back in 2003.

After being on the receiving end of a poor estate agency service themselves, Michael and Alison Brain launched Hannells from a tiny village office in Hilton.

Since then, Hannells has grown to become Derby’s most exciting and top selling estate agent, winning many accolades and awards along the way for customer service, sales and marketing.

We work hard to maintain the values that accelerated Hannells to the cream of the Derby estate agency crop all those years ago. Growth, team, resilience, integrity and commitment are what we live by and we have an intense focus on “people”, be it our hardworking property professionals in the business, or each of our valued customers – many of which will buy and sell with us numerous times over the years.

Now with six sales branches strategically placed across the Derby suburbs and a fast-growing lettings operation ran from our Pride Park office, we’re ready to take the business to the next level and we’re looking for ambitious and hard-working people who can help us to achieve our ambitious company goals.


We’re looking for a full-time Valuer who feels a real connection with the way we do business and can help to deliver our moving experience to each and every customer.

If successful, you would be responsible for providing local home sellers with excellent valuation presentations using the “Hannells Way” and helping our clients to achieve their moving goals.

The working week is five days a week although you may be required to work alternative Saturdays, when you would receive a set day in lieu in return.

Morning meetings in the branches begin at 8.45am sharp with the day ending at 5.30pm.

On target earnings, car allowance, uncapped commission, a number of additional opportunities to add to your earnings and monthly bonuses will result in earnings of £25,000 – £35,000, and potentially more!

Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with an estate agency background and experience as a Valuer.

However, more important to us is finding a candidate with the right attitude. A team player who puts the success of the branch ahead of their own and is always learning and developing their skills. A person who is fully committed to their role and their team and has a positive attitude with a “we can do it!” approach to achieving realistic targets and overcoming obstacles.


We know from experience that the best thing we can do for our Valuers do is to not overburden them with over-reporting and unnecessary tasks so that you can just get out there and do what you do best.

As a company, we work hard to make sure you have all the relevant resources, tools and remove as many obstacles as possible to make winning instructions and providing our clients with complete moving experiences as easy as possible.
