Hannells are still Derby's top selling estate agentDebbie Andrews has joined to become an invaluable member of our unique and innovative Sales Progression Team who ensure that even once the sale is instructed, customers are still kept fully up to date with all that is happening on their property.

With over 14 years’ experience in residential conveyancing, her extensive knowledge of the after-sales process will no doubt be a huge asset to the Hannells team.

Managing Director, Benjamin Brain, said “We’re delighted to have Debbie as part of the Hannells team. Very few estate agencies are able to invest in a Sales Progression Centre and even fewer have team members with such extensive experience”

In what has so far been a record breaking year for Hannells, they have already doubled their staff over the last 14 months to ensure that they are still able to deliver a quality service and achieve the best price possible, in a timescale to suit their customers and all with a minimum amount of stress and hassle.

Mr Brain added “We’ve seen a massive upturn in the market since the beginning of the year. One of the reasons we’re Derby’s top selling estate agent is because we’re always looking for ways in which we can improve. With national statistics showing that one in every three house sales is currently falling through before it reaches exchange, we’ve managed to reduce this figure dramatically by making sure that our sales are handled effectively”

Many estate agencies will have their negotiators do all the sales chasing as well as trying to sell the houses on their books, but for a busy agency this means that they can be concentrating on chasing sales already instructed, and not actually getting their available properties sold. Therefore, the service levels can, and often will, drop.

Mr Brain continues, “Our Sales Progression Centre means that we’re able to do both. Our Sales Negotiators can concentrate on what they do best, getting the best price for our clients’ property. Whilst our Sales Progression team will make sure that the transaction reaches exchange and completion as quickly as possible, if needs be”.

With an increase in activity in the Derby market over the last year, it’s only natural that as sales increase, so too do the amount of properties that “fall-through” before they reach legal completion. However, it seems that here at Hannells we have it covered and as a result, we’re able to boast one of the lowest fall-through rates in Derby.
