Here at Hannells, we’ve added yet another prestigious award to our ever-growing trophy cabinet….
Last night, we attended the coveted and hotly contested Derby Telegraph Business Awards 2014. We had been shortlisted for the “Sales and Marketing” business of the year alongside two other fantastic Derby businesses that had certainly earned their spots.
After a busy 12 months selling record numbers of properties and ramping up our marketing efforts, we had high expectations of becoming the Derby champions. Unfortunately, we just lost out to a fantastic company called “HUUB” who have been making huge advances in the wet suit market, providing revolutionary gear to many high profile athletes such as the Brownlee Brothers and six time Ironman World Champion, Dave Scott.
The evening was a fantastic ordeal and to be mentioned alongside some of the businesses that were in attendance was indeed an honour. It was a wonderful display of some of Derby’s most successful businesses and certainly went a long way to show that the future is very bright for the City and we’re delighted to be able to be a part of that future.
Whilst we were disappointed that we weren’t able to grab the top spot, there was no shame in finishing behind the fantastic “HUUB” (www.huubdesign.com) as the CEO there, Dean Jackson, also went on to scoop up the Derby Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Plus, we felt it an incredible achievement to be shortlisted in the top three sales and marketing businesses in Derby which is still a very worthy accolade and extremely fitting for an Estate Agent.
Next year we’ll be going for Gold so to “HUUB” and the rest of the businesses that entered for this year, watch out, we’re coming for first place!
