Similar rules and regulations are enforced by ARLA, the major regulating body for the Lettings industry. Although membership to ARLA is voluntary it demonstrates Hannells commitment to high standards and offers a number of benefits. Firstly, to gain ARLA membership, a four unit exam must be passed which requires extensive knowledge of legislation surrounding Lettings and best practice.  Secondly, as with NAEA membership, ARLA stipulates that all members must maintain a separate Client account for all Client funds. This account has to be independently audited each year in order to provide evidence of Client’s monies being used correctly. This in turn ensures that Client’s money is 100% protected at all times.
