Welcome to the Hannells market pulse, you may have noticed we’ve been away for a month but we’ve just been so busy in January that we haven’t had time to report back to you!
However, we’re back and we’ve got some great news for you in this edition…
After a fantastic 2014 for Hannells where we helped over 2,700 families in Derby to move, we’ve started 2015 with a bang as well. January was our best January for sales since we opened our doors for the first time way back in 2003.
It’s great news for local buyers and sellers as it shows that the property market, and certainly in Derby, remains strong and there is plenty of interest out there.
According to the latest results from the house price index, the average asking price across Derbyshire currently stands at just above £126,500 and the City of Derby comes in at just under £111,000. Over 2014, Derby saw growth of 4.6%.
It’s not just the sales we’ve been busy with. There’s also been plenty of fantastic new properties coming to the market from across our six branch Derby network.
So, if you are in the market, there’s plenty of great choices out there. Towards the end of 2014, it was anybody’s guess as to what would happen to the property market this year. We’re convinced that from what we’ve seen so far, 2015 is going to be another busy year for the Derby property market.
As a result, we’re already investing heavily in improving our customer service, our property presentation and the staff to deliver that service. In January alone, we’ve taken on four brilliant new members of the team that will all be helping to deliver a moving experience to each and every one of our customers.
In a recent edition of the Market Pulse, we introduced you to our Lettings Director, Andrew Sanderson. Since opening in November 14, the Hannells Lettings department has grown from strength to strength – providing a customer focused service and finding some great tenants for our landlords, quickly!
Not only do we provide enhanced property presentation, we’re also FULLY licensed and regulated which is incredibly important when considering which agent you would like to manage what could be one of your most valuable assets.
