The Hannells team is growing! We’re delighted to announce the arrival of Matthew Lyth who joins our busy Littleover Branch.

Matthew joins the team in the role of Valuations Manager and has already made a fantastic start to his career with Hannells! Director Benjamin Brain said “Matthew has really hit the ground running in our busy Littleover Branch and with the very high activity levels he has really had to! Matthew has a wealth of experience in the property world having already gained experience as a Valuations Manager, Branch Manger and Lettings Manager in previous employment. He has already got stuck in to providing the complete moving experience to the home movers of Littleover and I know he will be a great asset to the team.”

What experience did you have in Estate Agency or other roles before joining Hannells?

I started in the industry back in 2009/2010 in Coventry and worked as a sales/lettings negotiator and valuer for several years until moving into branch management around 2016 having great success in the area until relocating to Derby in April last year.

What made you want to work at Hannells?

After being in the industry for so long and relocating to Derby, Hannells had immediately stood out to me above the rest as being a fantastic company. I then actually ended up making an offer on a property with Hannells Mickleover and was extremely impressed with the levels of service throughout the process! It was at this point I knew this was a company I would love to represent.

What do you feel is key to providing excellent customer service and delivering a moving a experience?

I think honesty is a huge factor and actually a big issue in the property world, If you can’t be honest with your customers then how can they trust you with some of the most stressful moments of life! It’s important to develop an entire understanding of the process so you can see if it’s the right move for you.

Could you share something about yourself, favourite past time, favourite sports or T.V shows.

I spend a lot of my time at the gym with my wife, or out on the mountain bike exploring the peak district and all the different cycle paths Derbyshire has to offer! Either that or binge-watching TV shows like game of thrones!

If you had to describe yourself in a few words, what would they be?

No idea but according to my wife…Hardworking, honest, and fun.
