Tricia joins our busy Alvaston Branch in the role as Assistant Branch Manager

Benjamin Brain, Director, said “Tricia has been in the Estate Agency industry for over 30 years and brings a wealth of passion and experience to her new role at the Alvaston Branch. She knows the role very well and has been delivering a fantastic service to customers in her previous roles with other businesses. We’re delighted to have her join our fast-growing team and I’m very much looking forward to seeing her thrive at Hannells!”

We asked Tricia to give a bit more information and introduce herself.

What experience did you have in Estate Agency or other roles before joining Hannells?

I have been an Estate Agent for 30 years now. Lord knows where that went! I worked in my hometown of Grimsby starting as a negotiator which in those days meant doing everything from sticking photos on to getting on your bicycle to do the viewings! ! I moved to Derby in 1989 and have had various roles with a large corporate and an independent.  I’ve been a Branch Manager for the last 20 years. I have seen many changes in the industry in my time but I do think it always comes back to basics with good Customer Service.

What made you want to work at Hannells?

Hannells are the No 1 agent in Derby, I have worked in Newcastle under Lyme and Stoke for the past 14 years for the number 1 agent in that area,  I have watched Hannells growth and admire the way they have stood their ground with the ever changing markets and remained true to their brand.

What do you feel is key to providing excellent customer service and delivering a moving experience?

I think no matter how it is packaged these days, the only way to deliver good customer service is to believe in what you are selling, have empathy for your customer, assess their needs and try to deliver a service that is as stress free as possible. It is more difficult for your personality to come over on the phone, so good communication skills are key, I always think a good sense of humor is essential as well.

Could you share something about yourself, favorite past time, favorite sports or T.V shows etc?

I love holidays and always look forward to my Summer holiday, I also like theater and music,  because my friends are all ages I seem to find myself anywhere between the 60’s and Glastonbury! TV well, I like the 9.00 Drama slot and strictly come dancing.  At the weekends it’s mainly Family and friends and a few glasses of wine!!

If you had to describe yourself in a few words, what would they be?

I think I am fairly easy going, calm in a crisis! I have always treated people the way I would want to be treated myself, I think I am someone you can trust.  People who know me would say I am a loyal friend with a good sense of humor!
