After an early start to the day on October the 12th meeting outside our Allestree branch at 6am, the Hannells Directors and our Leadership team jumped into a minibus and made the journey to the luxurious InternContinental Hotel at the 02 in London.
In the company of some of the best known and highest regarded estate agencies in the country, Gabby Logan hosted a day full of talks from industry leaders and service experts with some brilliant ideas shared on how we can continue to improve the service we deliver and show how different to the competition we truly are.
The day was rounded off by the esteemed EA Masters awards in a ceremony where the top estate agencies in the country are recognised.
The team behind the awards had spent the year mystery shopping estate agents and rating them in a number of crucial areas to help define which agents are really at the top of their game.
Findings from their research revealed some startling statistics which goes some way to show just how important it is that sellers choose an agent based on service and reputation, rather than price alone.
These findings included that on average, the best agents:
Despite the widely held perception that “all agents are the same” these four statistics alone highlight a distinct difference between the agents that are truly focused on delivering a great service, and the competition.
All of this combined results in a huge difference in the outcome for a customer with regards to the price they achieve, the time it takes to find a buyer and if the sale ever actually reaches exchange and completion.

So, after a great day of learning, adopting new ideas for making Hannells an even better proposition for local property buyers, sellers, Landlords and tenants, an immensely proud team hopped back into the minibus for the long journey back to Derby where our brand new Gold Medal and Certificate now sits proudly in our trophy cabinet, joined by a plethora of awards we’ve won over the last 15 years.
