End of Chain: A new home represents the end of the chain. The vendor will not change their mind. The house has to be sold. If you need to move straight away there may be a stock unit. If there is a time lag, you can synchronise your move with the build completion of the house that you want.
Everything is New: Owning a house is expensive. From the day it is built it will deteriorate and require maintenance, with different parts requiring varying degrees of attention and money at different times. A new home automatically requires the maintenance and deterioration clock to be set at zero, significantly reducing expenditure for several years.
Many yearn for a new kitchen and appliances, bathroom, or conservatory- a new house can deliver all of these things at the same time.
New Homes are subject to a guarantee. Not only will any immediate problems be rectified by the developer, but you also have peace of mind for several years to come too.
Choose your own location: Second hand, we have to take what is available. New, there is a site plan to choose from. Some prefer main road locations, others a cul de sac. South facing gardens can be important, as can proximity to open space and facilities.
Choose your own design: Invariably with décor and design we tend to accept much of what we inherit when we move into a second hand house. But with a new one you can let your creativity run free with no obstacles. Carpeting an empty house is so much easier than a fully furnished one.
A Fresh Start: An opportunity to take in new surroundings, with new neighbours, and new friends, all experiencing the same new environment together can be part of the fun.
