Prepare your home for sale with that summer vibe!
Summer is well and truly here as the recent heatwave clearly demonstrated! But even if the thermometers don’t quite reach 40 degrees again, we can still enjoy feeling the heat over the summer months!
Most of us will have googled how to keep our homes cool in a heatwave (see our past blog post on the subject here…) But have you had a look at how you can maximise the summer vibe to help sell your home?

- Think Mediterranean
Just like the centre pages of the travel brochure, you can add some Mediterranean charm to your home with some well-placed accent pieces. Think solid white vases, terracotta colour pots, sea blue and sandy yellow wall hangings and light floaty curtains. - Bring the outside in
We don’t mean pop a couple of garden chairs in the living room! But emphasising your outside space can be a great way to attract buyers in the summer months. Rearrange furniture to open up views out to your garden, make sure picture windows are clean and clear from heavy blinds and curtains and really get those viewers to appreciate the outdoors!
- Keep on top of the gardening
We know it has been a tough task of late, the lack of rain has left most lawns looking a little yellow, but we know potential buyers minds really do focus more on gardens at this time of year, so keeping on top of any gardening jobs really will have an impact. - Carry the summer theme throughout your home
Sunflowers in a nice vase, bowls of fresh summer fruits and window boxes with fresh bright summer flowers can be a great finishing touch to give your home a real summer feel! It doesn’t take a lot to make a difference and a flowery focal point can do wonders!
