In the latest results published by an independent research company, Hannells are shown to account for 36.9% of the total SOLD boards in Derby and the surrounding suburbs.
Managing Director, Benjamin Brain, said “It’s a phenomenal result especially when our market share was already so high and to see an increase yet again in an incredibly competitive market place is something we are very proud of. The gap between us and the next best agent continues to widen and we have our eyes firmly on the 50% mark which very few agents in the UK have ever achieved.”
Hannells put much of this success down to their relentless culture of innovation and self-improvement. Since opening their doors over a decade ago in 2003, the Derby born and bred estate agency has gone on to win many accolades and awards including being crowned as one of Derby’s best sales and marketing companies in the 2014 Derby Telegraph Business Awards.
However, whilst it’s good news all around, according to Mr Brain the celebrations will be short lived as it’s back to work for Benjamin and the team as we’re reliably informed that they’re currently experiencing one of their busiest periods of all time.
Mr Brain continued “We’re all delighted with the results but all of our six local branches are so busy creating moving experiences for our customers at the moment that we simply don’t have the time to celebrate.”
“We embrace a culture of constant improvement at Hannells and whilst other agents may be content with such a huge market share, there’s still a lot for us to work on. We’re committed to being not only the biggest, but the best estate agent in Derbyshire so expect a lot more to come – better customer service, further improved property presentation, enhanced training for our staff – there’s always something for us to be working on to make sure our customers receive the best experience possible.”
It’s been a busy 12 months at the local firm with Hannells venturing into a variety of new services to offer their customers a “one stop property shop” including their comprehensive Lettings service headed up by Andrew Sanderson, their online Auction service, the opening of their new Allestree branch and the acquisition of 15 new staff members to cope with the demand from local buyers and sellers.
With speculation at the beginning of the year that the General Election may serve as a distraction to the local property market, it certainly doesn’t have seem to had an effect on the Derby market with Hannells currently taking onto their books and selling record amounts of properties.
