In the first of the trio, we’re delighted to announce that Amy Boole has secured the position of Branch Manager at our busy and successful Alvaston Branch.
Amy has been with Hannells for almost 6 years and has worked in a number of the branches within our Derby network and taken on a variety of different roles.
In her previous role, Amy was responsible for the sales progression at our Chaddesden branch where she was liaising with our clients, their buyers, solicitors, mortgage brokers and anyone else involved in the chain to progress sales through to exchange and completion as quickly as possible.
Now, Amy will be working with a great team of property professionals at the Alvaston branch to help continue to deliver their renowned high levels of customer service and securing fantastic sale prices for local sellers.
Amy said, “This is an opportunity that I’ve been ready for for a long time and I can’t wait to get stuck in. The roles I’ve taken on so far have really helped me to build an extensive knowledge of the sale process and understand how to get the best possible results for my clients. The team at Alvaston are already very good at what they do so I’m really looking forward to being a part of an already great team.”
We’re also delighted to announce promotions for Michelle Tinson and Nicola Barnard who from the 1st November will each be taking on the role of Area Manager.
Both Michelle and Nicola have extensive knowledge of estate agency and the “Hannells” way having managed their own branches to produce consistently impressive results and levels of service for a number of years.
Benjamin Brain, Director, said “This is a new move for Hannells and in a time where we see other agents cutting back and trying to do less, we see so many opportunities out there for us to continue to grow, to continue to improve our service to our customers and to continue to get better at what we do. Both Michelle and Nicola have been long-serving and outstanding Hannells representatives and we couldn’t have picked two more passionate, experienced and results-driven people for the new responsibilities they’ll be taking on as Area Managers.”
With seven residential sales branches strategically positioned throughout the Derby suburbs, Michelle will be supporting the Chaddesden, Oakwood, Alvaston and Chellaston teams, whilst Nicola will be sharing her expertise with the Allestree, Mickleover and Littleover branches.

It’s not always possible, but whenever we have positions like this that come up, we’ll always look at people already in Hannells before looking to recruit from elsewhere. These promotions are the latest in a string of new hires and changes at Hannells as we continue to adjust to deal with levels of activity that have not been seen since the last peak of the market in 2006/07.
