We take another look at the property news hitting the headlines this week!

Starting off with a look at the local picture, Derbyshire Live bring us an interesting article looking at the proposed new £45 million entertainment venue set to be part of the Becketwell regeneration.

A consultation with hundreds of residents and members of the business community found that a large percentage of those asked would like to see the venue mainly used for music concerts. You can take a look at the report along with artists impressions of the planned development here:

Further a field, the BBC are reporting that property sales hit a record high in June, suggesting that the changes to the Stamp Duty Holiday caused an influx of property completions. They do warn however that this may have been the peak of the property boom, with continued rising prices and lack of supply cooling the market a little. Take a look at the report here:

Rightmove also follow up on the extraordinary property boom with a blog post examining just how much prices have risen, stating that the new average house price across the nation now stands at £338,447 – which is an increase of £21,389 (6.7%) since the start of 2021. July’s monthly rise is also the biggest monthly rise at this time of year since 2007. Take a look at the full report here:
