The opening of Hannells in Alvaston could not have come at a better time.
Partner and managing director, Benjamin Brain, says there has been a “massive increase in interest” from both buyers and vendors recently.
“The property market has been really picking up and 2013 is proving to be our best year since the peak of the housing boom 2007, the last full year before the market took a huge turn for the worse,” he said.
Their other offices are in Chaddesden, Chellaston, Littleover, Allestree and Mickleover. The Alvaston branch opened on Monday without ceremony, allowing staff to get right down to business as soon as the doors opened at 8.45am.
Mr Brain said: “We did not want to have a big launch for the new office – we just wanted to get on with cont
“Things are going really well and plenty of people have been ringing in about valuations and our properties. “Properties in the area were previously handled by our branch in Chellaston. inuing to offer a really good service to local vendors and buyers.
The new office will also serve Boulton Moor, Wilmorton and the City Point estate on Pride Park.
“Hannells believes in having local branches, rather than one city centre office covering the whole of Derby. “It means we know the area and local market so much better and our knowledgeable staff are able to talk to people face to face.”
Opening hours at the Alvaston office are 8.45am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 4pm on Saturday.
